Rasheeda S. Sampson Jefferson (200 RYT) is a former professional dancer and adjunct professor of Dance and Movement at Bloomfield College. She began practicing yoga in 1995 to maintain her active lifestyle, but after injuries and surgery in 2000, she found that yoga was also her path to healing and recovery. During this time, her relationship grew with one of Montclair’s first yoga teachers, Master Jyoti Chrystal, with whom she studied Bikram, Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. In 2017, she completed her 200 hours through Powerflow Yoga and recently completed her Yin Training at JaiPure Yoga with inspiring teacher, Jacquie Ruderman. Rasheeda will guide you through breath work and mindful flows allowing you to create space and draw your focus inward to your own journey. Her classes provide a calming, strengthening, and rejuvenating experience as healing is mental as well as physical and yoga practice encompases both. As Paul Robeson said, “Each and every day of your life, you are to grow to become the greatest of who you are.” Find your path and follow it.
